Veterans ... Parents ... Grandparents ...
Your life story is a gift your family will cherish forever!
Veterans ... Veterans often say that they don't need to do a personal history because they were not in combat, or they don't feel that what they did was all that important. Well, that's not true.
Regardless of what you did or where you were stationed, your history is important. The histories of WWII, Korea, Vietnam, & the Cold War are only now being written. In the coming decades historians will ask lots of new questions. We don't know what those questions will be, but we can be sure they will be focused on a lot more than combat.
Your family and friends will be interested now and in the future regarding details of your service to the nation. As you relate what happened, remember that your family & friends are not simply interested only in tales of combat. Tell about your leaves, your recreation, your promotions, about all the days you spent in transit or simply waiting at a base.
Tell what you think was significant.

Parents ... Many people can remember at one time or another wishing they knew more about their family history, their parents' past, or their heritage from previous generations. Especially if your parents or grandparents are deceased, you might wish for more information about their lives, thoughts, aspirations, beliefs, etc., and the reasons that shaped their successes, failures, and personalities.
Wouldn't you like to leave a gift for your children and their children that will answer many of the questions about you and your family that they will surely ask some day? Tell them what makes you "tick"! Tell them with an AWard Personal History Productions videography / audiography about the day they were born. Tell them what they mean to you. What are your hobbies, your religious convictions, your political beliefs. What are your most memorable holidays, special events, historical events, and sporting events. Who's your most unusual relative and why? Your children will cherish this knowledge someday!
An audiography / videography is the best way to leave a lasting legacy to which your family can refer for many years.

Grandparents ... Most people know very little about their grandparents, the lives they led, and the challenges they faced during their lives. Wouldn't you like for your grandchildren and great-grandchildren to know more about you than they can glean in some photograph? AWard Personal History Productions can put a face, a compelling story, and perspective to your life story, and make it fun, interesting, and educational to many future generations of your family. Give your whole family the gift of a lifetime ... ... the gift that tells the story of YOUR lifetime!
AWard Personal History Productions ...
because everyone has a story to tell.
The Audiography / Videography is the necessary basic process by which to tell your life's story. It is in your own words, your own voice, and told from your own perspective. Your interviewer assists you with remembering, structuring, and relating your life story in a relaxed and rewarding manner.
It can be completed in just one day. It can be easily updated in the future. It is affordable, satisfying, and complete for most people. You have accomplished your mission - your story and your voice / image are preserved for the ages.
The older we get, the more often we hear ourselves say, "I sound like my parents." There comes a time when we wish we had spent more time with them, and listened to their experiences. A person doesn't need to have been famous, notorious, or wealthy to be someone special. Everyone has led a different life, and has a different story to tell - that story should be told, in their own words, for future generations to share, enjoy and learn from.
IF YOU DON'T TELL YOUR STORY, WHO WILL?
WHO ELSE COULD GET IT RIGHT?
Why an Audiography / Videography ? The most accurate and essential method by which to document a life story is the audiography / videography - an oral history via taped audio / video interviews with an experienced professional interviewer. Oral history is very important to both families and society. Think of all the stories, incidents, triumphs, and tragedies that die along with every person who never had a chance to share them. We all have memories and photographs of people we have lost, but those people were so much more than that - unrecorded memories are lost. An audiography / videography preserves those memories.
We have found through experience that most everyone would like to tell their life story. The main reason they haven't done so is procrastination. But beyond that, people don't know where to start, what's important, and they lack the time to do so. Most importantly, they are not aware that there is help available, such as AWard Personal History Productions, to assist them.
